I was forced to evacuate from my Mobile home during hurricane Charlie here in Florida in 2003. I went to east coast and checked in to a eight days inn. The storm turned and headed right our way, bent light poles in the parking lot in half and flooded the streets. Never know what nature will bring your way. have a good weather radio and have it on so if any type of bad weather is near so you can react accordingly to the warnings.
