Hunting restrictions have allowed cougars to flourish. Not unlike wolves. At least the cats don't have the same magnitude of impact on big game like the d@mn wolves.
Fish cops around here wouldn't even do anything about a cat problem we had a couple years ago.
We had lost I think 3 goats and one afternoon a cat got one right after the kids got home from school while they were out playing.
I tried to get it that night when it came back to eat the goat, but the sneaky bassturd moved through and snagged it about 15 min before I got home! (left the dogs out and the wife had a floodlight on it and that goat disappeared without the dogs even barking!)
Can't trap em, too many domestic animals around that would get killed and I didn't have time (wish I did) to hunt it every weekend.
Called WDFW and asked them to do something. Guy looked at me and said, sorry, I'd suggest you go get a tag so you don't have to give it to me if you end up shooting it!
