Dunnellon a town just south of Waldo had cameras put up at the stoplights at the intersection by the Walmart which generated a ton of money for the town.
Residents complained that they changed the length of time for the lights to change to make it easier to get drivers in violation. They were found guilty of this action.
They also received a ton of letters from tourists that were issued tickets in the mail that they would never come back to that town.
Long story short the town DID take down the camera's. Didn't want to tick off the tourists that generate money in their town! So it could happen that if enough people complain about Waldo it will stop them from being the biggest speed trap in the state! :B
