There have been many reports of people doing a little under the speed limit and then getting stopped for speeding when they were not. The officer said that he had "cleared" the radar gun. It is a speed trap and following the law does not mean you won't get a ticket. As a Florida Native, I have heard about them all my life. I got hit with a similar deal in Emerson, GA. Officer just lied.If you want to fight it, you can come back in two weeks and tell your side of the story to the judge who is the brother-in-law of the Chief. The only way to be sure is to avoid them.
