One issue I've seen. People who might be driving around a Walmart at night don't know that RVs have slides, and in the dark they can be very hard to see.
Know of two that have been hit. And the RVer's insurance had to pay to fix the damage to the car and the truck - because the RV was 'not in a campground' so deployment of the slide was not authorized. Local cops issued the RVer a ticket in both cases. One was a Class C the other a 5er.
We wanted to stop at a Flying J which features several rigs most nights - and were told "No slides can be opened"
