I don't have time or inclination to price check every store in a 10 mile radius and spend time and gas driving all over town to find the absolute lowest prices.
The Savings Catcher matches UPC codes on items that comparable stores carry. So house brands are not in the mix, since you can't buy them at other stores. Also, fresh produce & meat are not price-checked. You will not see brand name milk checked against store brands, for instance.
I've seen prices listed from CVS, Target, Kroger, Food Lion, Walgreens, and Kmart. How much you save will to a great extent depend on the mix of products you buy. I buy mostly very basic foods, not a lot of processed foods or cleaning supplies. The latter categories are where the big savings are.
