We overnighted in a grocery store parking lot in Kayenta on the Navajo reservation, with permission. Every time we looked out the window there would be an indian just standing there...never knocking, just standing...different ones. They would give up after a few minutes. Just panhandlers. There was a reason for them to be there, the OPs query???? One can only guess.
