Want to make a Gen slide - how thick of Alum plate?

Honestly most of the weight will be concentrated near the slides on the angle I use to attach the deck so your prob right about the 1/2". I am almost thinking about laying the slides flat as they are rated for 150#'s like that and it would simply the install.
