My wife and I went to a park this last weekend where the pull through spaces were set up so that two RVs shared services on one island between them. Therefore, we were back to back with the one behind us and face to face with the one in front. The trailer facing us was about 20' away. There was no car there when we set up, but after we'd set up I saw a car pull in between the trailers and proceed to park there. We had our awning out, and she was barely outside that space parked dead center of our door.I went out and as courteously as I could asked if she would please not park there. She seemed confused about why it'd bother us, so I explained "You're basically in our front yard." She seemed that she was still confused about why that was a problem for me, and I said "How about I promise not to park there if you won't?" At least she wasn't so confused she missed the implied threat.She backed up and pulled behind their trailer, and I thanked her. After that, her husband came home, and they were both cool the rest of the weekend.I told the owner of the park about it and said that I hoped we hadn't made them too mad, and he just said to come to him if we had any more problems.So .....Being new to this whole RVing game, I got to wondering. Should I have gone to him in the first place, just accepted that she'd park there, or was I OK in asking her not to?Be kind. I'm new ;)

Are you happy with what you did?If you are then forget it.Either you were going to be upset or they were going to be upset. Better them than you.

It's the 'all about me' attitude. Too many people, including RVers have it.You can't fix rude/stupid.Don't worry about it, you did the right thing.

Were they parked on your site or theirs?

That's what happened to us at a camp site, the bathrooms where in line from the rude folks and through our space, so after several crossed right under our awning I waited until they were having dinner and then I went down to he lake through the middle of their gathering, nasty looks.Upon my return one of them asked why I was crossing in their space, in a very loud voice I answered that they had been crossing through my space to go to the bathrooms, so I figured that we where in good neighborly terms and I could cross through their space, after that they offered an apology and walked around on the roadway.navegator

I've been to a couple campgrounds that arranged the campsites like that. So had a good idea what you were talking about. Stayed at a KOA about a year ago that had the same arrangement.

Really weird site layout! They need to plant little shrubs or a some type of wood fence like structure between the sites for boundary separation.

I did feel it'd be better to ask nicely than go to the manager, but after her reaction I thought I may have over-stepped my bounds.

P E O P L E !!!

Ya dun gud.

At a park in Steamboat Springs we were patio to patio and they pitched a tent so close to our picnic table they had to walk between our table and 5er to get in their door! And tents were not allowed. We asked them to move it as it was well on our space. Nah, forget that. Went to the office and they did nothing.

Well, it rained that night and their awning was running on the tent so the re - pitched it right next to our 5er!! They or office still did nothing. Being a little more firm, I made it clear to both parties that is was either moved or I would move it and not tell them where.

And so they took it down but then used our picnic table for their meals and games.

We left as park management could care less. Manager would not give us 4 day refund but girl working there pulled me aside when the manager left the room and gave me the refund.

The following sort of explains it. The car was parked between the fronts of the trailers on both sites. I didn't get a tape measure out, but she was probably 5/8 on hers and 3/8 on ours. Hope this helps, hope I'm correct:

Drive Though camp sites facing opposite directions with the RV hook-ups between ever 2 campers. The hooks-up would cause the campers to be back-to back. The front would be shared yard between 2 campers. The car was parked between 2 campers (in the yard) area. (RV net edit does not arrows ... the " - " is the front of the camper.
