Gas line
Does anyone know if steel braided gas lines are ok to use? I need to run new lines from the black pipe, and plan on using pre made stuff from menards. Thankyou

Gas flex line is only good for home use with NG. it's only designed for use ins max 4 foot sections to hook up a home appliance. the smallest this line comes in is 1/2 inch dia. so using it on a longer run will decrease the psi leaving a lazy flame at the appliance your are fueling. the best way to run gas lines of any type is to get a proper sizing chart and go from there If it were my camper I would use copper line most likely a max size of 3/8" make sure it is labeled Type G for gas not ac, or water its easy to bend into position and will not deteriorate over time like water or ac copper. Hope this helps

If a person wants to install, say a BBQ quick connect fitting 10' or 20' away from where a capped tee is, is there any reason why you can't just use the appropriate LP rubber hose?
I agree with the copper but I think you'd want to protect it with some plastic wiring loom?
I don't think there are any ready made hoses that long and making the hoses is not usually a DIY. I also wouldn't want a long permanent run of rubber hose.
All of the exterior copper on mine is covered with plastic tubing.

Now that you have decided to use copper, make sure you use flared fittings only -- no compression fittings. Compression fittings are prone to leaking when stressed.
