- broark01Explorer IIHugs all the way around and when Walmart (and others) stops allowing anyone to stay in their parking lot because of these types incidents we will wonder why? Because of this type of carelessness, laws and rules are passed to protect us from the Darwinian throwbacks.

Wow this guy sure was a slob! I would vote no on a meth lab, more like a washed up hippie that was stoned and careless.
I have seen a few places after the fire dept comes calling and that "Slob" like look is common.. IN a few cases I have seen the home BEFORE the fire and it was neat and tidy. As it happens I understand and agree with the reasons the FD makes it so ... Cluttered.. (They are good and valid, and it is a good thing they do it).
BUT White gas and Gas (Be it propane or gasoline) Lanterns INSIDE the enclosed space = very bad idea... For reasons we can clearly see.
Best place to be in an explosion.......ELSEWHERE!!!! - PogoilExplorerWonder if he can sue Walmart for not providing full hookups.

I thought the fuel for those Coleman lanterns was more like kerosene then gas. I don't own one, obviously. But, I have seen them work. If there powered by gas then I think they look dangerous just by themselves. After all you have to pump them up to compress the canister. Looks like a bomb waiting to happened to me.
There are lost of bombs out there waiting to happen if used improperly.
Coleman Fuel
However the hassles and potential problems of white gas probably contribute significantly to the decrease in those models we see today and the increase in the propane fueled models.
I will say that to me, the older model seems to have more heat / light than the propane versions. - bigred1cavExplorerclean no additives, and is usually filtered again before putting in appliance.

Reminds me of the fear of getting old. When you hear of elderly people getting bilked out of their savings or other stuff it makes you wonder if that could be us in the future. Easy to say not me. But I bet those people were just as competent when they were our age. We need to treat them with more respect. In stead of criticizing buy them a coffee or just give them a wave. It might make their day and it will definitely make yours. - frankdampExplorerThat particular old Winnebago/Itasca model had very little outside stowage. A friend of ours owned one. It was woefully underpowered, too, with a 2.0L Renault 4-cylinder motor.
