Household bleach averages between 3-6% sodium hypochlorite by volume. In terms of maximum efficacy a mixture 1:3 is optimal. Spraying it on full strength is actually counterproductive.
Herein lies the rub>
NO bleach solution will be even minimally effective before 5 minutes and only fully effective (given the limitations of chlorine) at about 15 minutes.
Bottom line? If'n it makes you feel better to get out your little spray bottle and squirt away, go for it. You are accomplishing nothing.
To the naysayers who care to look, there is copious supportive literature both online and off.
these sound like scientific facts, which largely the populous ignores. After all, Chlorox and Lysol show right in their commercial just spray that******on and instantly all the baddies are dead.
anything powerful enough to sterilize a surface in mere seconds would be so dangerous, I doubt the layperson could even purchase it... well, maybe on e-bay
