Does anyone have any good ideas of how to store your water hose? We have always put it in a clean garbage bag, but I would like something that is clean and can be sealed that is dedicated just to our hoses. We have tried various size plastic boxes, but there is always too much wasted space in them to make them worthwhile.

Your profile is incomplete in that it doesn't tell us what your RV is so that people can offer suggestions. I just screw the two ends together so that nothing gets into the hose and then throw it into a compartment next to all of the hook-ups. If I'm not going to use the MH for a while, I'll put a few drops of Clorox in the hose and shake it some before I screw the ends together.Bill

I use a square plastic bucket that cat litter comes in (cleaned it out of course)...the lid snaps in place and seals easily and it isn't as big as one of the plastic tubs...I coil the hose into the bucket, then screw the two ends together to avoid any contamination (dirt, etc.)...I also drilled some 1/4 in. holes in the lid to let it breathe, otherwise it gets moldy caused by temp. swings and moisture.

Screw the ends together and just toss it in the storage area. I am now using a plastic tote (without a lid), just to keep them organized a little better. I still connect the ends.

I use giant Ziplock bags. Google "Ziplock Oversized non-food storage products". They have a whole line of them going right up to garbage bag sized. They are perfect for the hoses, they do not take up much space compared to bin's and keep any residual water from the hose or dirt from the campground from getting all over the storage area. I also keep my spare sewage extension (which does not fit in the bumper) in one as well.

After fighting with 50 footers for many years, I finally smartened up a few years ago and now keep four 25 footers. I coil them up separately and screw the male end to the female end. Then I use short elastic bungees, (the type with a small plastic ball on each end) to keep them securely coiled (three per hose coil). then I just store them in one of my outside under floor compartments.Jack L
