Thanks - lots of great feedback and ideas! I could kick myself for not getting an adjustable regulator with a gauge. Oh, well - sounds like a good excuse to visit the local RV supply house. My wife even understands the need for something that affects taking showers, etc. Some of my other purchases - not so much.
This snow-birding thing is new to me. I'm learning a person has to do things differently when staying hooked up in the same place for 4-5 months at a time. My neighbor was telling me it's best to keep the fresh water tank full and use it every now and then. Otherwise, bad things happen in the tank.
He leaves his pump on and lets it kick on when his pressure drops like when running the clothes washer.
So, I gave that a try. In my case I have to open 3 faucets for it to drop low enough for the pump to kick on.
In any case, Dutchmen Sports idea of running off his own tank has a lot of merit. It would be nice to setup a way to keep it filled automatically when doing months at a stretch in the same place. Or at least a crossover valve under the sink.
