Water Source Fill Up Lists...

There used to be a list of sites on the Good Sam Club website that were Good Sam Member friendly who offered free water fill-ups along a road trip...

It's been several years since I needed it, as most of my recent camping has been on routes where no water exists or in a full service campground.

I am traveling from Phoenix, AZ to Baker. CA next Thursday the 10th of March and would like to find a place where I can fill my 140 gallon tank with fresh water so I don't have to drag around the extra 1000+ lbs of weight.

My rig is around 50ft long with the dually hooked up, and I have a 25ft fresh water hose. My fill is about midway down the rig on the driver side

Thanks, any helo would be appreciated.

This would be a great list to create. I wonder if the community could create and maintained this ...Google doc ? Facebook page etc...

Thats a great idea. Even if water and dump was not freez the cost could be listed. Too bad GS took the old list down... I found it really handy

    Thats a whole lotta water..

40ft dual slide toy hauler... has 2 large 70 gallon tanks.

I guess you can bring enough water to float your own boat! Just kidding, just kidding.

lol. if I were hauling a boat... Maybe... but I'm hauling a off road car

What difference hauling water vs not hauling. water being a small percentage of GCVW, and no significant change in fuel use.

With water and with my off road car that weighs about 2100lbs in the garage area of the toy hauler. It puts my GCVW at its maximum. So it does matter, I. average about 1mpg better without water, and lower temps on my dually when running through mountain passes which most of this trip is... the last time I weighed fully loaded to make sure I was still legal wa 24,500 total.

If the trip was flat ground... the difference is negligible.
