I have a flat hose and it is true that they leak at the fittings. Mine is only 24 years old and the male fitting started leaking about four years ago. I carry several Gilmore replacement ends and used one on the hose, no problem with that one. I keep mine in a plastic bag and try not to ever lay it out on anything harder than grass. Don't know the name but I plan on buying a spare one in case this one dies an early death.
