The Dual Cam in really not that hard to get set up. Just follow the install directions carefully, and then make SURE the cams are exactly centered in the V of the bars when the truck and trailer are lined up straight. The problems usually come when people do not get those cams centered in the bars V. That results in the two sides of the hitch fighting each other and the hitch performs poorly.
When line up exactly, it is hard to beat the performance of the Dual Cam system unless you go to a Hensley or equivalent.
We have an excellent tutorial stuck at the top of this forum called
Travel Trailer Setup Procedure which includes a whole section devoted to the Dual Cam setup. Give it a look and then see if the setup will be too hard for you to attempt. I doubt you will have problems.
