WDH Bar Weight Spec

I have, what I think, is an Eaz Lift WDH hitch. I got it used and have no idea what the weight rating on the bars is.

There are no stickers or any markings on the bars. Is there any way to determine the weight rating based on diameter, length, etc?

If it's not stamped, ask the manufacturer how much it should weigh, then weigh it. I have 1000 lb and 1400 lb bars. Although they are the same size, the 1400 lb bars weigh significantly more and are thicker where they curve.

That's a really good idea, thanks!!
  • If the sticker is missing, check the top end where it is inserted into the hitch head. It should be stamped there.

  • I have been in contact with the manufacturer. They told me where a number should be stamped, but there isn't one. It may not be an Eaz-Lift after all.

I was hoping maybe someone had another way to estimate bar rating.
