Can they deal with the cold weather in a RV park? I don't know if they have the weekly-monthly chain motels there but it might be as cheep and less to deal with.

check with the med facilities they may have RV parking with hook ups. I know of some hospitals that do out west. just thinking they might have them back east also. Prayers going out for you and your family. times like this you need all you can get.

Moose, Elks, etc have sites in a lot of areas.

I believeTimberlane Campground on the New Jersey side of the River is likely the closest to the Pen Med facilities if the hospital is where I think it is. There are not a lot of RV parks/campgrounds very close to Philadelphia and even fewer open all year. I don't know about Mobile Home Parks that allow RV's, but would think they also are more likely to be in New Jersey.

Thank you everybody for your advice, thoughts and prayers.

I didn't even take winter into consideration. An Extended stay facility or the facility at Penn Med will definitely be better options.

Here's something else. FIL has been suggesting Medical Pot. Home Care nurse and a video on CNN by Dr. Sanjay Gupta validated his support to MIL.

He made some "Brownies" she (MIL) ate one. A little while later she asked for Bacon and Eggs. After that, she took a shower, did dishes, did some Laundry and then started working with her laptop. INCREDIBLE.

I, am not advocating, advising or in any way promoting Med. Pot. I do know it's working for her.

In fact, I personally am highly allergic to pot.

So sorry for you loss, I am glad she had some relief from Medical Pot, this will increasingly be an alternative for people, there are many benefits as you saw.
