The 100 will do 2 people, maybe 3. We had to go to the 200 because we regularly do 4 people and the 100 was just not big enough for us.
Both will work fine on a 20 pound tank with a hose. We carry a 5 pound tank that has the same valve as the 20 pound tank. Just a smaller tank.
I do have to remove the lid to put it into the basement. Easy. Pull 2 clips and pull out the 2 pins they hold.
