Weber Q size ?

Going to order a Weber Q grill, but not sure of the size I should get. This is going to be a camping only and cooking for 3 people. I do want to use the small propane cylinders and I also have an adaptor hose to use the 20lb cylinders.

  • Yep, I was concerned about the lower BTU on the 100/120, but normally once it gets hot I cut it back to 25-50% to cook, else it cooks too fast. It can cook 6 hamburger patties. Unless you cook tons or want some leftovers, it should be fine for 3 people.
  • From my point of view, it all depends on how much storage room you have. If storing the larger Q isn't a problem, I'd opt for the larger grill as it gives you more space for grilling if you are cooking for more than 3 or 4. But, if storage room is a concern, the 100 will work fine. I've cooked for 4 on it and not had a problem.

If my larger Weber grill at home ever dies, I'd consider getting the 200 for use at home at while camping as the 200 would be more than adequate for all my grilling needs.

We have the Weber Q120. Plenty large enough to cook for three people.

    x2
  • Baby Q is likely enough grill for four persons.
Plenty of room for 3 large shishkabobs anyhoo :)

You'll like the "Q" in any case.

Bought a 100 eventhough i was concerned about btu. Not to worry. Get it hot and it does wonders on steaks chops etc. Plenty big for 4 average adults

Yep, AKA Weber Baby Q. Love mine!

  • I like my 200. Small enough for portability, but big enough to do some extra things when necessary. Always looks like the 100 is a bit too small.
