Thanks. So it doesn't fill the entire grate area and lets air flow around it so I can see that working. The 1/2 size is just a tad too small.
If there is one downside to these Weber Q BBQs is that they don't seem to get quite hot enough. I used to be able to use one or two pots one our Roadtrip but on the Weber it's just not hot enough to get water to boil, even with a lid on a pot.
The Roadtrip has a full-size griddle but they have a design flaw - can't close the lid with the full griddle on it. Doesn't seem to be THE perfect BBQ made.
