Does adjusting the wdh a little bit downwards (towards the trailer) allows fir better weight distribution?

Yes, if you dont change any other adjustment, moving the head down will force more weight distribution. - If you had a WDH, no it wouldn’t. The goal is everything level...TT, TV, bars, hitch. Do your chains drag? They look very low.
