Depending on wheelbase a disel F350 will have aprox 4500lbs on the front axle and 3000 on the rear without a load in it... so you are saying it will handle better with the front axle 1500lbs heavier than the rear.:S
I would want at-least 1500lbs of load on the rear axle to get a 50/50 weight BALANCE.
OP, NO YOU DO NOT NEED or want WD.
