I switched to a Chevy 2500HD, no WDH or sway bars and had no problems at all and the tongue weight was barely noticable compared with the expedition. Thank you for that perspective. I'm leaning toward a 3/4 ton truck with travel trailer for now, and flexibility to go to 5th wheel later. Should be able to go with no WDH or sway that way.
Still preferring the travel trailer for single level convenience and for lower height.
