Our 5'er is kept at the house, plugged in and fridge running all the time (during the season), all condiments like ketchup, mustard, etc. are left in there. There are canned foods as well as flour, oil, and all those essentials that stay in.
We keep 3 complete "camping" outfits as well as 1 dressy outfit for each of us in there during the season.
So, if we decide to GO, it takes us less than 20 minutes to get our meds, dogs, kids, pull the truck under and hitch it and hit the road. Now, at the beginning of the season, we are looking at a few hours to pack and at the end, about 3 days to unload!!
I would not like it at all if we had to keep ours in a storage facility, but I know many have to. It's great to have ours sitting out beside the house and ready to use if we have visitors, family or if one of us just needs to "get away" for a few hours.
