WFCO 8955 converter just died and needs to be replaced

I need to replace the converter on my WFCO 8955. I can get a direct replacement but are there other brands that would be a direct replacement? I have heard Progressive Dynamics but looks very differ...

The wfco would make an excellent boat anchor but it's just too darn lightweight. My PD works well and I also put an 80 amp boondocker in my son's FW that seems to be working fine.
