What air compressor do you carry?

MV-50 12 volt is what I carry on the road. Although I also have a 2000w inverter that would run about any 120v unit. If getting 12v compressor make sure it only clamps direct on the battery. If it has a cigar plug it will be weak.

I have a VIAR 400P, pricey for a 12V but really like it. Doesn't take up any room and airs my 5er and truck tires from 45 psi up to 80 psi no problem. I like the 12V because I can use either my truck or 5th batteries to run it. Not a toy though, very solid and it can draw up to 30 amps so it is a good idea to run your vehicle when you use it.

The only draw backs are no tank and you can't regulate pressure. If you run it with the line blocked, it will blow the inline fuse.

I have had one of these from Lowes for a couple of years, works on either 120 AC or 12 DCisn't as noisy as a lot of these units, doesnt take a lot of space.

I have this Porter Cable and it works very well. Around $100, it replaced a Harbor Freight pancake unit that was very slow, very loud, and not easily storable due to the shape.

While waiting for responses try searching this Forum for `air compressor' and read the previous posts.

The Viar's are very good and if you use a compressor a lot, it's worth it.
I rarely need one on the road so a cheapo that runs off 12V from Harbor Freight works fine.
At home I have a "real" comp. :)

Porter Cable pancake type. 150 psi covers everything, not too heavy.

Rolair. I don't know if it's the best band for the buck, it just works well and doesn't make me deaf.

I'm considering getting the 5 gallon 1.6HP 225 PSI Fortress compressor from HF. It will fit in a storage compartment in the MH. It can blow up tires, supply an air jack to lift the MH, run an impact gun for removing lug nuts. Just waiting for it to go on sale(its $379.99 now)

For just a compressor for tires HF has a 6 gal, 1.5HP 150 PSI pancake compressor for about $120.
