They look great and are a little thicker then a framed single pane window ( not dual pane ). On the Cameo fiver we had the other poster was right, they don't open much, ours only cranked open 4 -5 inches. They didn't slide in other words. If you have a slight breeze a window that slides open completely works much better for cooling things down. Using a fantastic fan helps in this case as it helps draw in more air.
On the frameless, because they tilt out, in light rains you can leave them open some and usually no rain comes in. So you still get some cool air were a slider will most likely need closing.
And they're are not "frameless" the frames are cover by the glass.
