Windows on 1966, 1967, and 1968 Airstreams are frameless and hinged at the top. Those on the sides are curved to match the curvature of the sides of the rig; those front and back are flat. They swing out/up with a little winding handle from the inside and open very wide, allowing a whole bunch of cross ventilation.
The downside is that they're hard to notice. More than once when the windows were open, I've walked around the outside of the rig and creamed my head.
Oh, and the other downside: The windows are available, but they're pricy, pricy, pricy, in good measure because shipping thick, tempered glass ain't cheap.
