We also like fall as our prime camping time. We are heading to the western slope in the middle of Sept. for 4-5 days. We will then do the rest of the season on the Front Range with the turning of the Aspens. Our final camping trip last fall was the 3rd week in Oct. and had snowfall then. A great time of year to camp and lots of sites available then.
