We just moved 30 miles to a new park today. Upon arrival we noticed scratches on back driver side corner of motorhome. We can not possibly think of anything that we could have gotten against. We were at the last location for a week and parked each day right behind the motorhome. Never noticed a thing!! Any ideas what could possibly have caused such marks?

Ya, it looks like the scratches are back on forth and if you swung into something wouldn't they just be in one direction? And, there so even.

Make the picture public.

Post the "direct" link to the pic, not a link to a page with the pic on it.

That's pretty bad. Did you have a cover on this MH?

Whatever it was it had raised areas equally spaced and it was not rigid like a chain link fence as it was able to fold over the bumper area and scrape the upper part next to the tail lights without leaving really deep gouges in the bumper area as would a fence.

I turned sharply to go around a car at fuel pumps and the same corner of my MH scraped the iron post at the end of the pump island. Your has the look of chain link marks.

Since those scratches are all at certain intervals and show back and forth activity with the scratch lines only deviating by 1/2" or so in those locations, I would guess something was leaning against the coach and had time to work back and forth. A linked fence would be my first guess.

I was following my friend in our MH's and watched him turn and tail swing into a mail box on the opposite side. Got to our destination and he never even knew he took out the mailbox......although I am sure the owner of the mail box knew something hit it when he had to bend down to pick up his mail.:B

Another vote for the tail swing. Not bad compared to a friends a-class, he took out one complete compartment and pulled the rear cap off.
