I try to live by the golden rule. I have my outdoor speakers set at a level I can barely hear on the rare ocassions I turn them on. Thats generally when I'm camping far from my closest neighbor. If I go to a campground, I know what the rules are concerning dogs, quiet time, allowable and forbidden activities and tolerate those allowed and make sure I don't do anything forbidden. I expect the same from my neighbors as far as the allowable and forbidden.
I appreciate those that keep their music down, walk their dogs with plastic baggies handy for unwanted presents, and expect kids to be kids and cross through the edges of my campsite from time to time. Not everyone does these things and I expect that result and therefore, am seldom surprised. I also will take a walk when I hear live music being played that I enjoy and hesitate, listening for a song or two, hoping to receive an invite to sit and listen a little while.
If I want silence and nature to be my music, I pick camping areas there is a realistic chance of that happening. That generally is boondocking or low use campgrounds or during the week when they generally are 10%-20% full.
Realistic expectations in all circumstances prevent me from getting to upset or surprised by much I come across.
