Follow-up FYI from my previous post here.... I finally got to fix those 4 shingles on the roof. I feel much better about things now! Let it rain!
I'm now in the process of sealing some cracks in the concrete patio on the back side of our house. I putting fine sand into the cracks to help build them up, and then using crack sealer on top of that. I found out if I just used the crack sealer, it would drip down the crack and I was using an entire bottle every 4 feet. The idea of the sand hit me, (we have plenty from a play sand box the grand kids aren't using any more), and sprinkle it into the cracks filling them up. As simple as this sounds, it takes time brushing the sand in. But once in, it doesn't take much crack sealer to seal it up. Once done with all the cracks and such, I going to "paint" the entire concrete area with that deck paint that's rubberized and texturized so it will look good again. Slow project, but at least I'm not crawling on the roof!
Next camp out is scheduled from the week-end of April 16.
