What do you tow behind your Motorhome?
What do you tow behind your Motorhome and what did you have to do to make it towable.

- We tow a 2007 Toyota Yaris behind our motorhome (see signature picture below). Pull it with an ACME tow dolly with built in surge brakes. Great tow dolly. Only $1300 brand new.

But Ron, did you know that Mazda says not to tow that car with the driving wheels on the ground because the transmission will be under splash lubricated and it and the whole car will catch fire and burn to the ground within the first 200 miles? :B
I towed my 2000 Miata for 35,000 miles and have now pulled my 2010 and 2012 over 20,000 miles and it hasn't happened yet.
I wonder if Mazda's lawyers are saying not to tow, not their engineers who know better? Hmmm...
Tim- Our first tow was a 2006 Mazda Miata 6 speed - Put in neutral and go - Got to hard getting in and out of with bad knees, but absolutely loved this car and the ease to tow.
We now have a 2012 Honda CRV A very simple startup procedure and pull out. We are thrilled that we chose this car. - 2002 Dodge Durango 4X4. Brake Buddy with charge line works great. Guests love the rear A/C.

No if they are towing one like my truck then they must have made changes that will allow it to be towed. It may be cheaper to do the mods (If there are any) than buying another car.twainharteartist wrote:

bumpy- This is how we roll:
2009 Ford Flex. Installed separate brake light system by adding extra bulb inside tail lights. Just need to pull brake fuse, put in neutral and go.
Ready Brute Elite with Blue Ox baseplate. - I have a 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 with 5 speed manual and shift on the fly. Anyone out there that has towed one of these? The owners manual says I can't tow it with any wheels on the ground.
