Bob, i understand your feelings. When my father passed a few weeks back, I let my DD and SIL, along with my baby granddaughter, use my master bedroom, and I went to my TT. It is parked along side of house, and I really was happy out in my own little world. Slept good and didn't even mind burning lots of propane to keep warm while we had some of our coldest weather.
BTW, if you look for a slow cooker, don't get a huge one, you need to have them at least 2/3 full for them to work properly. Not sure if they are available there, but Presto makes a Kitchen Kettle, than can be used for multiple purposes, including slow cooker. Here in south, available at WalMart for $25USD. Might be an option as it has multiple uses.
