Weber Smoking Joe for true charcoal BBQ
Used ours for 7 yrs FT and still using it.

This is what I use as well. I used to have a Weber Q and it was a nice grill but gas grills (in my opinion) just don't add any flavor to the food. I use two different Weber Smokey Joe's. I have a 14 inch small one and then a bigger 18.5" one. If I am going to low and slow cook ribs or a pork butt, I take a Weber Smokey Mountain. I purchased the 14" model and it comes apart in 3 pieces so it's easy to pack.

I use a Kamado style grill/smoker at home, but for camping I have a midsize Smokey Joe. Hardwood chunks, lump charcoal or Kingsford Competition is all I use on either one - I don't like the taste you get with standard briquettes.
I rarely fire up the propane grill anymore. Not as fun and the results aren't nearly as good.
