We used to have a Road Trip BBQ but sold it because of poor quality, difficult to clean and a few too many design flaws. The nice thing about it was that it had a full size griddle you could use, a 1/2 size griddle or 1/2 size grates for pots and frying pan.
Replaced it with a Weber Q1200. It's well made and that's it's biggest (only?) feature. It's too tall to fit in many storage compartments and I have to remove the hinge pins and put the lid in after the bottom half goes in. You can only use a 1/2 size griddle due to it needing air flow. Won't work with a frying pan or pots as it's just not hot enough. As soon as you lift the lid up, the temp. goes way down and you have to close it asap so it will bring the heat back up. Recently bought an induction heater for things that the Weber can't.
You'd think there'd be a really good BBQ out there designed by RV-ers for RV-ers. Watch for me on Shark Tank...
