A Viair 300 small, compact comes in a bag and has enough punch to air up my RV tires and small enough to fit in my under compartment storage bay.
Ditto on the Viair. Most small compressors advertise "max psi", but when you are airing up something like an air mattress, truck tire, or similar, you want CFM also. Not just how much pressure the pump can build but how fast can it deliver the air?
I have used this bring all 8 tires on the truck and trailer from 15 to 65 and 80 psi respectively and it didn't break a sweat.
How long does it take the compressor to air up a tire from 15psi to 80psi?
Thanks, Ken - PAThwackerExplorerIbought a foot pump at wally world over the weekend to repair a tube on a stroller tire. Firstfoot pump in over 30 years. I pushed down 4 pumps and got the tire to 15 psi. %5th pump and the tac welds failed.. Going back to wally for my $10.

That's the one I have and it has worked very well. Not as noisy as some of them out there, and fills quickly. Of course it won't work if you don't have access to 110V so you'll need a generator for mobile use.
This one is 150 psi. Light to carry.

The tank holds 40 cu/ft of nitrogen at just under 2,000psi. According to my calculations, using a step down regulator I have enough nitrogen to totally fill at least 4 of my rigs tires to 70psi, enough volume and pressure to run an air-impact wrench long enough to break a seized nut loose and I can easily lower the pressure enough to safely blow out my water lines. When I run low I can exchange the tank for a full one at a NAPA auto parts for $17. It doesn’t take up much space, it fills tires fast, and there’s no compressor to break down.

Very similar to the one my wife told me about in my attic....
Mine is a 'Husky' (I think Home Depot brand) bought it to use in and leave in FL when I was a snowbird... Forgot I had it.
I used to have the Lowe's version of this compressor -- looked identical. I once used it to inflate my truck tires from 55 psi to 80 psi. It only made it through two and a half tires before it got hot and seized up -- it was actually smoking. I returned it and replaced it with a Porter Cable 6-gallon pancake compressor which has served me well. I carry it in the bed of my truck.

3 gallon hot dog? Pancake? What specs do you folks like to see?
Once I discovered the convenience of CO2 - no more air compressors.
Google "Powertank" - then assemble your own for about half the price.

~ - TurnThePageExplorerAfter a flat last week, I had to pump up the spare on the trailer from 20 to 50 PSI using a foot pump. It only took about 15 minutes and my legs didn't even cramp up!
Too late I remembered the small 12v Harbor Freight special I had stashed in an out of the way location. I've still never used it in the 3 or 4 years I've had it.
