misspelled word on this forum???
my favorite:
WARRANTY
Seriously... how difficult is it to spell check?
Does anyone proof read anymore?
I guess I don't understand.
Warranty passes my spell checker.
Is warranty not a correct spelling?
Don't forget there is also the word "warrantee" that is also used but it is not a correct word.
The English language is saddled with a bunch of words that sound alike but are spelled differently (considering that English has slowly changed from Anglo-Saxon over the centuries). Yes, I did take several English language courses in college. But that's probably more than you wanted to know (darn it, I can't remember when to use "than" or "then" :B).
For example: cite, site, and sight. Cite is used if you are talking about a law. Site is like a camp site. Sight is like eye sight. I've noticed that a bunch of books that I've downloaded to my Kindle have this problem. The correct usage depends on what you are talking/writing about.
