Some will take issue with this point of view but like it or not being able to communicate well in written form has immense benefits in the real world. All of us will occasionally make an error we miss when writing and that is not the issue. Constantly abusing the language in written form will get you written off as uneducated, and not someone to take seriously. Just my opinion.
