English is becoming a lost language to the KIDS of today. at writing any way. - lanerdExplorer III agree. A well written post is much easier to read, understand and comment on.

It's not so much the spelling as it is the misuse of words. The absolute bar-none front runner is "it's", as in " My day has it's ups and downs." No, that would be its. Other common misuses are 'advise' for advice, and 'to' for too. It's not just this board, it's becoming Internet grammar, and it's pretty bad. I'm not sure if spell checkers handle word usage very well.
It's easy to see who has crafted a question well, and who hasn't. If you just don't care how your posts reads, then I don't care to answer. After all, somebody will always answer. The OP might enjoy the "Words that melt my brain" thread.
The post above reminds me of another one.. 'lose' (which he used correctly.)
my best friend has never been able to spell or write properly it doesn't keep us apart i do not think any less of him for it. i'm not sure who made you the expert on writing could you please tell me? - beemerphile1Explorer

Frig instead of Fridge
In reality both are incorrect, it is a refrigerator.
My pet peeve isn't a misspelling but punctuation.
Three dots together are called an ellipsis ...
It is correctly used when quoting another post and indicates that non-relevant words were omitted. If the original post uses the ellipsis incorrectly, how can you correctly quote them?
In fact, the title of this thread incorrectly uses the ellipsis!
