What is the oldest thing you take with you camping or rving?

Father-in-law's old binoculars - not sure their exact age but he just turned 98.

My grandmother's (and then it became my mothers, and now it's mine) cast iron skillet.
I don't really know quite how old it is, but I would guess 1930's era.

Also we listen to 1940's and 50's era radio mysteries while on the road and traveling. When at the campsite, we switch to reading books.

A Big Heat electric heater. I purchased it somewhere in the mid '70s. It still works like new and heats up the TC in no time.

I no longer carry them because I passed them on to my son and grandson but use to carry them all the time until recently… it was my Tilly lamps… one from the 50’s made in the UK that my dad used and passed on to me… it was the De-Lux versions of the X246 lanterns, that had a chrome plated brass tank and one I bought in the early 60’s made in Northern Ireland… great Lamps…

The oldest thing I take with me is my fathers ax! From the 1940's.

The drab green wool US Army sweater my father was issued as a recruit.
He was small framed way back then so it fits me well. Not only is it very warm but it provides a deep sentimental connection for me with my Dad.
He would have been 96 this August had he lived.

Cast iron two burner stove, probably 1920's and I have some tools that are old. One hunting knife is from the '40s. Heck, the trailer is 43 years old.

My grandmas Proctor Silex for Sunkist electric juicer. Think its from the 50's. All heavy metal and porcelain.
Don't make em like that anymore.

Also, Rosette irons for Italian cookies from my great Grandma on dads side circa 1918.

I take a lightweight sleeping bag I bought in the late '60s and a tent and stove from the early '70s.

If out at a cooler time of the year, then it is probably the medium weight dacron filled bag I bought in early 1950s or my wife's similar bag a few years newer. Or maybe it is the Boy Scout mess kit which might date to 1953. Or a knife of similar vintage. Some of this stuff just does not wear out.

My uncle, Roy McMillan, bought a Dietz Comet kerosene lantern with money from his first major league baseball contract in 1954. I now have it and use it often.
