It is a crude thermostat, does nothing to alter the temperature when I have moved ours. I keep ours at the top to keep out of the way of the fan I installed on the fins. Happy camping.
I did not notice the wire was missing. You should have a white wire with a 1" or so bulb on the end. This goes into the white clip on the fins.
It may work but I've never noticed a temperature swing adjusting it. I always figured the change in temp was more due to the outside temperature changing. Won't have to worry long, about to make wife happy and get a residential fridge in new unit. Thanks for the feed back. Happy camping.
