On our last tt we had the same thing. Essentially, food froze in the fridge if it was all the way up, but it took a day or two. We kept it near the middle most of the time.
If you fridge is parked where direct sunlight hits the back, move it all the way up. If your fridge is parked where it doesn't get above 50 degrees, move it all the way down. In between, its a crapshoot. But ours worked rather well.
