We were leaving for a 2 week RV trip spring before last. Just about 12 hours before pulling out of the driveway, DW was walking up the concrete paved driveway to get the mail. Tripped and fell. Broke her hand. The next morning, instead of driving the RV, I was driving her to her Orthopedic Doctor. (Yes, she has an Orthopedic Doctor, if that tells you anything.) We were about 6 hours late leaving on the RV trip. They rushed her through.
The moral of the story, "Don't walk if you are leaving in the morning." :B
True Story.
Oh, an addendum:
We went to Alaska this past July. She tripped and fell while we were hiking on a glacier. We had 2&1/2 weeks left on our trip, and she healed up nicely before getting home. She was NOT looking forward to telling her Orthopedic Doctor that she was hiking on a glacier.
