I fell off the roof of my house a few years go (1 floor up), landed on my head and left shoulder on asphalt. Knocked me whacko for a few minutes. Lady driving by saw me actually fall. Slammed on her brakes in the middle of the road and came running over. She got my wife's attention, who was in the house. I was still whaco. Along came the ambulance and took me to the hospital. Still don't remember too much about that though. Everything check out OK. Next day, I expected to really feel the pain. But nope! Nothing! Never did!
However, it did take it's toll on my mental state. Ever since, I've become (afraid???) or at least ... very, very respectful of heights now.
Never fell off the trailer, but I'm 60 and still get up there!
I stepped off the roof onto an extension ladder. Ladder slipped out on the asphalt driveway. I started falling backwards, rolled to my side to avoid hitting my head on the pavement. Landed on the side rail of the ladder and fractured my pelvis in 3 places.
Maybe hitting my head would have been better because a fractured pelvis is no fun.
