In the Army we had stainless steel tape for the aircraft. I found some one time afterwards, in an aviation surplus store. Won't bend too sharply but won't come off too easy either.
The duck/duct tape I have in the tool box is over twenty years old. I haven't had to use it, I think, yet. Probably needs replacing.
I've got some Aluminum tape I got from work. Has an expiration date on it where we can't use it any more at work and we have to throw it out. Not on my watch! I've used it to tape metal siding together at campgrounds for people that had an accident and needed to get home or to a repair shop. I've used it to make a solar oven to make biscuits (tape the inside of a cardboard box with it and paint the outside black and put it over your baking sheet with the buscuits on them for a few hours on a sunny day).
Not to side track the post but Gorilla tape beats duct tape badly and if installed on a clean surface is pretty much permanant unless you pull it off which is no easy task. Love the stuff.
