The 1641 lb cargo / passenger rating, is payload the truck was rated for, when it was built. Any optional equipment, or accessories added by the dealerahip, or current / past owners, takes away from that number.
Weigh the truck, with full fuel and passengers, add 100 lbs for a weight distribution hitch. Then subtract that number from GVWR. What you have left, is available payload for tongue weight and cargo in truck bed. Very possible, your available payload is below 1000 lbs.
The dry weight numbers on that trailer, are pretty much useless. They were determined when the trailer had no battery, no propane, no dishes, no bedding, no food, and no water. NO BODY TOWS EMPTY !! (Except the guy who delivers it to the dealer)
Dry tongue weight of 952 lbs, will easily hit 1000 lbs with just propane and battery. Then consider, 10 to 15 percent of every pound you put into the trailer, will add to the tongue weight. Average load of camping gear (dishes, chairs, BBQ, bedding, food, and water) is about 1200 lbs. Ten to fifteen percent would add 120 to 180 lbs to your tongue weight.
You could be over weight on payload, before you put anything in the truck bed.
