It depends...
If we stay in a "full hookup" RV park, the trash goes in the dumpster.
If we stay in a moderately civilized Forest Service campground, and there is a dumpster, the trash goes in it. Well, if we can get the "bear proof" lid open we throw the trash in!
If we stay in a primitive Forest Service campground, the trash goes home with us. We NEVER stop in the nearest town and attempt to throw the trash in a dumpster. That can result in a ticket for "Theft Of Services". Yes, if somebody sees you putting trash in their dumpster without permission, they just might call the Sheriff!
